Class IV Hitch receiver install
I'm attempting to install a Mopar Class IV hitch receiver. It's a simple process, but the main bolt requires 300 ft-lbs of torque. The highest rated torque wrench I've been able to find is 250 ft-lbs (Cobalt model). This seems like alot of torque required, could this be a misprint, or is a job for an impac wrench? (the instructions show only manual tools required - ratchets, sockets and a torque wrench)
Thanks Dan |
300 ft lbs of torque is something you do with an impact wrench. Or just lean on a breaker bar as hard as you can.

I just tightened mine as hard as I could. 300 lbs is alot so put some muscle into it.

What's up Dan??
