Anyone ever use Al's Liner spray-in bed liners?
 

I was thinking of buying the kit.

After looking at it I'm going to order the kit. http://www.alsliner.com/purchase.html I found it for $145 and will do my bed. If that goes well I have allot of things I want to do. I want to do my bumpers and fender flairs and gray stripe on the lower part of my TRX. Thanks for pointing this kit out.

I've looked into it pretty extensively because it's a two part system. I was hoping that will generate a thick and durable liner. However from the limited pics it doesn't appear to get the thickness I want. I'd like to see some up close pics though because what Al's provides are lousy. Hopefully skiing will be able to provide us with that.

After talking with the rep today I am going with this kit. This kit seems no different then linex or others. The kit is simply a scaled down HOME use system. Thickness is up to the person applying it, you can go with a light cote or 1/4 inch or more. The thicker you apply it the longer it takes to cure. You can touch it up if and when it may be needed also. I will report back when I receive my kit.

Please do get back to us Sking, very interested in the kit. I want to do our truck bed and probably the bumpers on my Jeep.

Al's can be applied as thick or as thin as you want it. You can also tint Al's with any automotive pigment to color match to your vehicle or ad media for non-slip and rubber crumb for more non-skid and better sound deadening properties. What you can coat with Al's Liner is endless!

I sell alot of kits to car restorers who spray the undercarriages, floors, and trunks of their hotrods, truck beds, flat decks, trailers, and alot of people lately coating decks and patios.

Here's a couple of pics of a customer of mine who just did the total interior, undercarriage and floor of his 55 Bel Air and color matched it to his future paint.

For a truck bed you need it thick. 1/16" is ideal minimum. These DIY I've only seen getting a skim coating in the pics. I've used Durabak in the past and same thing. I've tried to spray it thick but it seems like I never make any progress. By the time you spray to ideal thickness I'd say your going to be up towards the price of Line-X. If you're just going for looks then this is the way to go. Canadian how much product would you say it would take me to generate 1/16" in the short bed dodge ram? Is there a MSDS sheet out there?

Actually Al's Liner isn't like the regular do it yourself kits. Most are a thinned out product so you can roll them or apply with a brush but Al's Liner is not and has to be sprayed with the hopper gun and it can be applied as thin or as thick as you want in one pass. Just check out the web site at www.alsliner.com for a thickness guide. Al's Liner is actually a standard professionally applied Liner product made by Scorpion that has been measured out and repackeged in the correct components as a the Do It Yourself kit.
