Default How to make Exhaust sound like Jeep SRT-8's?

I've decided, in agreement with a few other people, that the sound put out by the 6.1L Hemi is one of the sweetest exhaust notes around for a V8. I've driven and seen a few Jeep GC SRT-8's and I absolutely love the exhaust note on those things. I've been told they use a Corsa exhaust? Is this true?

Does anyone know of an exhaust for the Ram that sounds similar? I know it won't be Flowmaster or Magnaflow, so those are most definitely out. I'm willing to spend the money on the Corsa if the sound is going to be right....

#1 catback on an SRT Jeep, period - BORLA "S-Type"

I run my RAM "catfree" - headers, complete Borla 3" dual system & 5" tips - sounds/looks killer.

The Borla system isn't the stock setup though. I like how it sounds stock and would like to get as close to that as possible on the Ram.

I definitely need cats since in a year the truck will have to pass smog....

You have pics of your setup?

Try going to the dealer and see if you can buy the stock muffler for the SRT 8 Jeep. Then you would have exactly what you want.

I hadn't thought of that.... I'll look into it, but based on a quick search, I can confirm that the Mopar Performance Grand Cherokee SRT-8 Cat-Back Exhaust is made by Corsa. Might just go with the Corsa setup for the Ram, even though it is $750....

Yeah... the engine does make a big difference and it looks like the GC SRT-8's have 2 individual SISO mufflers.... with a true dual exhaust. Damn they just need to make a 6.1L version of the Ram.

they should either make it an upgrade, and pay a cost, or a limited edition truck, talk about a seller, I think many of us have dreamed of one of these since they came out with the 6.1L or its the alternative of an engine swap.

The stock SRT-8 Jeep does have a wicked exhaust note. Not too loud, but very snappy.

I've heard rumors of a SRT-8 Ram to replace the old SRT-10, but I doubt it will happen. If they can squeeze 395 hp out of the Hemi in our Ram when the Hemi GC gets less than 360, then imagine what they should be able to squeeze out of the 6.1.......
