Any 2" lifts that aren't leveling kits ?
 

This must be a common question for those that tow/haul any kind of weight. I'm interested in a 2" lift kit front and rear and maybe some 33's. I don't want additional squat in the back of the truck when I have the trailer hooked up. I already have a weight distribution setup with the trailer and the truck sits nice and level under load in it's stock form. I'm afraid a leveling kit will cause the truck to be nose high when under load.

I see BDS sells a 3" spacer lift (3" front, 2" rear) but also sells a 2" front spacer that could be swapped in instead of the 3".

Any other lift kit suggestions? Anyone else have a non-leveling 2" lift installed ?

if you want it to sit level when not loaded, i've seen guys running a 2" front and 1/2" rear. This still leaves the rear end about 1" taller than the front, so when you are towing or have a load in the bed, it will still be somewhat close to level.

There is a guy on here who is running a leveling kit on the front and the Firestone Helper springs in the rear. I plan on putting a 1.5 inch spacer up or the Bilstein struts up front and the same Firestone helper springs in the rear. These helper springs will help the rear sit level under load. I'd put a leveling kit on the front and a spacer in the rear, then add the helper bags like they listed above. I just put on a 2.5 front by Mopar and 1.5 rear from Top Gun Customz and it sets pretty darn level. TGC lets you pick what size spacer you want for the rear so if you wanted you could customize whatever rake you wanted from back to front.

I'm thinking of doing the same thing with a 2" lift and 33's. One option is the ICON rear coil spring with a lift of 1.5" and improved towing, etc. That along with a set of Bilstein leveling shocks on the front set at 2.1".

I would do some more research if I was you before you commit to those Bilstein Leveling struts. Everyone I have known that is running them has the 4wd shutter. Just be careful what you get, part of the reason I haven't done anything to my truck is the problems people seem to be having with this shutter. One thing I have seen is the shutter is starting to look like it is mainly on the Laramie's but just be careful and do some good research. Just search Bilstein or leveling kit on this site and you will see what I mean. Happy wheeling!

Yeah, I know what you mean, I have been reading all the threads I can find for the past 9 months on lifts & levels. The ball joints/CV joints seem to be the weak point. I feel with the leveling kits that the Kore kit is best, with the top control arm and the new CV joint. A little pricey though for only my desired 2" of lift. Also haven't installed anything due to the problems encountered by others.

I have the Top Gunz custom 2" spacer up front and it shudders in 4x4 mode. Next week I am going to remove them and find a different alternative.
