Vibration at 65
 

Okay, your probably thinking - "not another vibration thread", but I have to put it out there. When driving in just about any weather / road condition, I will reach a speed at which the truck will start to feel a little rough. I call it a vibration. It's not all that bad, but enough to know it's there because the passenger seat will shake a little, the steering wheel will vibrate a little and you can feel it in your body.

Everytime I look at the speedometer, I'm going 64-66 MPH (does not matter if I am in MDS or not). I'll use the cruise control to speed up or slow down a couple MPH and it goes away. It has gotten to the point where I don't even need to look at the speedometer to know I've reached 65 MPH.

I have had the tires balanced and rotated, put in tow/haul to disable MDS, increase speed to 70 and put in neutral to coast back down to 65 and the vibration is still there.

Has anyone else has experienced this issue? Any ideas on how to trouble shoot and "help" my dealer figure this out? Truck in an 09 SLT 4x4 with Hemi. Thanks!

probably happened after you had your tires rotated? Uneven wear on your tires can cause this. Noty sure if aligned would help. What is your mileage on your tires before you rotated them?

If you have the 20" rims, you might try getting your tires road force balanced. Big rims, little tires make balance a lot more important and noticible. We have a kia spectra5 with low profile tires that is super sensative to balancing and the RoadForce balance is the only way to get the vibes to go away in that car.

if you have the 20s they need to be road force balanced and if your dealer doesnt know it it might be time to look for a dealer that knows what their doing.also most dealers do not have a roadforce balancer

I've been fighting the same problem only mine starts at 70 mph (steering wheel shimmey). I just had the tires road force balanced at the dealer...and if anything, the vibration is now slightly worse than it was with just a spin balance from ntb. Speeds less than 70 and all seems fine, but as soon as you hit 70, the shimmey starts...it very light...but still annoying. What should I have checked now?

My truck used to experience the same exact issue and i had 17's. It has gone away since i first rotated and balanced my tires
