Default Problem with 09 dodge ram 1500 in 4x4

Guys,

I have a 2009 dodge ram 1500. The other day I put into four wheel drive,I was doing approx 35mph. And I had a bad shimmey in the front end. Took it out ,put it back in and the same thing. Ihad it on the highway about 50-55 and was still there, but felt it less.

The only thing I had done to it since last year was put a 3" body lift on it.

I did have it out of four wheel during hunting season, and when I was making a hard turn I heard some loud clunking sound. But, in 2 wheel dr. I don't feel it.

Any suggestions b4 I take it in and have the service dept rape me?

the clunking when turning sounds like a bad cv joint, which can cause the vibration also

35 seems kinda fast to me for shifting into 4x4. I don't like swicthing when I'm going over 25. Maybe I'm just over cautious. Either way, sounds like something mechanically wrong. Dealership shouldn't rape you though. It should be covered under warranty. I wouldn't worry about it. Let us know what you find out though.

most likely a cv joint. And that speed had nothing to do with the problem, you can shift these into 4wd at speeds up to like 50 mph so your good there.

even with the leveling kit? Could the cv joint just cause trouble in four wheel drive and not two wheel.
