Cab lights vote.

Alright so as some of you know I just bought an 09 1500 crew cab 4X4. I was wondering if some LED clear cab lights would look good on it. It just has highway tires on it and no lift or anything to make it look beefier. To me if a guy wants cab lights then the truck would have to look a little beefy and sit higher than stock. So, anybody think they would look okay on it? It's a dark blue pearl color.

I put 'em on my 3rd gen 1500, but it was after I lifted it 4" and added beefier meats. Loved them and will also add Recons to my 4th gen 2500.

Don't think I'd have put em on my 1500 if I left it at stock height. But it's all personal preference...

Yeah I had a 98 that had Mastercraft Courser MT's in 33's on it and it had cab lights and they looked great on it. It was stock height too. But I am in the position now to where I want to do it but it's one of those things that if you put them on and you don't like it, you're screwed. Lol

If you decide to put em on, we get a discount directly from Recon. With my new truck being dark gray, I'm going smoke with amber LEDs.

Discount code is "dodgeforum"...

Sweet! I didn't know that. Thanks!

My 1500 doesn't have them but i think they look good. But as rust prone as these trucks are, i am not too willing to drill a bunch of holes in my roof and opening the possibility of leaks and rust. If i knew someone who had done it many times before locally and was offering a fair price i would consider it.

I did mine on my '04 and to be honest the job took me like three hours but the first two were measuring like 24 times and killing off enough beer to have the courage to drill holes in the roof.
Did this after I lifted the truck in spring of '06, never leaked a drop inside the truck in 8 years, although after about six, the lenses started fogging on real humid mornings and rainy days. The o-rings were splitting and I ended up dabbing some silicone on the screws which took care of that...

Was going to recommend the recon cab lights as well. I had semi truck cab lights on my 2nd gen 1500 ORE. They were there when I bought the truck though.

I dont think it really matters what truck they go myself, they look good lol.

Yeah it's all personal preference I guess. Like I said, my 98 looked awesome with them and all it had to beef it up was 33" MT's on it. I think my new truck would look good with them because I want the Recon clear ones but I don't know if it will fit the trucks style. I plan on putting bushwaker fender flares and 33's on it. Do these new rams have adjustable torsion keys?

Nope, coils. No free lift...
