2009 Ram heat only on driver's side
So of course this happens on one of the coldest weeks so far this winter! A few days ago I noticed the defroster was only luke warm and took forever to clear the frost off the windshield. Used to practically burn you after a few minutes of driving. I started messing with the settings, I have manual controls btw, and for some reason the heater blows hot air on the drivers side and cold on the passenger side when on the floor or dash vents settings.
Figured it was one of the actuators or heater doors broken so I tore the center part of the dash apart and took the glove box out to get to all the actuators. Moving the settings all the actuators seem to move how I'd think they should, no bad gear noises either.
In a effort to test the doors I took all the actuators off and moved the doors by hand and everything seemed to be fine but still no heat on the drivers side. Air flow seems to be fine too in all settings.
Basically now I am at a loss on what to check. The only thing I can think of is somehow the heater core is blocked on one half and the air is split right after the heater core? Coolant lines in and out are hot and I am getting heat on one side so it doesn't seem completely failed. Looking for anyone that has knowledge on how the heater core and airflow is set up on the 4th gen trucks. Searches here and on the internet have come up with nothing so far. I don't really want to spend $1000+ to have the dealership look at it and fix it. I will tear the whole dash apart if I have to before I do that. Any thoughts? Thanks!

When the doors break there is no visible indication unless you take the heater box out. Not a super hard job but it is pretty involved, not to mention you need to evacuate and recharge the a/c so it's gonna need to go somewhere for that...
So the blend door seemed to work ok when I was messing with it...do you know if the blend door is split in 2 pieces? If it is maybe one side did break off...Going to take the fan out this weekend to see if I can reach up in there and see if it is moving ok
Same problem!! Ko help from the web, did you have any success?
