Truck Won't Start, Dashlights Stay Lit After Key is Removed

Hi guys, this morning I got in my truck and it would not start. All the dash lights lit up but nothing when I turned the key to start. The weird thing is, when I removed the key all the dash lights stayed on. Tried a couple more times but nothing, no crank, no clicking no sounds whatsoever. So, I disconnected my battery, dash lights went out, reconnected it and tried it again. Same thing, dash lights on, no start. This time when I tried to pull the key out it was stuck and I could hear a clicking noise coming from the ignition switch. Finally, got the key out, dash lights still on. Disconnected and reconnected the battery tried again, still no start and dash lights still on but I noticed them dimming and getting brighter, I actually thought I heard a clicking noise this time under the hood. What do you all think, ignition switch? Starter? Fuse? Anti-theft? Electrical?
2009 Dodge RAM 4x4 non-hemi.

Thanks for any suggestions.

I know this is strange, but are you sure the truck is in park? I have known of a guy that didn't put his car into park and had the car towed to a garage. The tow truck driver, put the car into neutral to put it on the roll back, when he got to the garage and off loaded the car, he put the car back into Park. When the mechanic came out, he tried to start it and it started. The mechanic says he has seen this before. He attributes this to the car not being completely in Park. Hopefully this is your problem.

Good Luck!

Sorry for the late reply. It ended up just being the battery. It had a weak charge, I gave it a deep charge over night and haven't had the issue since. I did notice that it had a lot of corrasion on one of the posts so I also cleaned that off. That may have been what caused it to drain. I just thought it was strange the way it acted that is why I didn't look at the battery first lol

Starting back in 06' when they went to CanBus system a weak battery will make the truck do all kinds of crazy sh*t you'd never have taught was caused by the battery...
