Best Programmer/Tuner for 2009 1500 4.7

Hey I have not been on this site very long so I may not have created the thread in the right place, but I am looking for help on deciding a tuner/programmer for my truck. I have a 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT 4x4 4.7L and I am wondering what is my best option for a tuner/programmer and if anyone has close to a similar set up what kind of MPG gains if any did you see?

Also I have read in other forums that tuners work better for 4.7's than 5.7's is this true?

Thank you for your help!!!!

Diablosport and Superchips are the two popular choices.

Yes, although I wouldn't say tuners "work better" on the 4.7, it's more of a case that the 4.7 is more significantly de-tuned at the factory thus having more untapped potential than the Hemi. I know in the case of Superchips, claimed gains are about 40 HP and 60 TQ on the 4.7 vs. 20/30 on the Hemi...

Thank you for the input I really appreciate the help! Has anyone used a programmer on their 4.7 4th Generation Ram and if so what kind of results are you seeing with the MPGs?

Don't buy a programmer or anything else for mpg gains on a full size truck. Use the $300 the tuner would cost on your Prius' first month payment...

I have a truck for a reason and I am wanting to see if anyone has seen mpg gains with these tuners, so if you are not going to post helpful comments leave the thread
