Default Anyone move up from a Dakota and regret it?

Don't flame me for asking in a Ram thread......I know you guys are gonna think I'm nuts.

Have had my '04 Dak for about 5.5yrs now, only has 115K on it, no big issues and not tired of it or anything, but the family has grown since I bought it and the kids are getting bigger and the back seat seems to be getting smaller.

Was considering stepping up to a Ram, but not sure about parking/driving in an urban/suburban area like I live in. Questioning driving around in a truck bigger than I need, everywhere I go, except I do kind of need the room so. But I do see a lot of them all over by me, especially Rams, so it leads me to believe it's not an issue and I'm overthinking it. Don't want to get it for a bit more room/comfort in the back seat and then find that it's a pain to park or drive around in. MPG isn't a factor, the Dakota sucks on gas, gets 10-11 mostly.

Wondering if anyone else here ever moved up from a Dakota, wasn't happy and moved back to a Dak. Or any other midsize/full size combo regardless of make.....but this is a Ram forum so.....

Thanks for any insight.

I for one did move up to my 13 Ram from an 08 Dak. While the Dak was ok, I am really, really happy with the upgrade.

Had an 04' with the 4.7, loved the truck but it has nothing on my Ram. You won't regret it if you change.

I had an 08 Dakota Crew cab, went to a 2013 ram 1500 Bighorn Crew Cab. Best decision i aver made. Urban driving is no problem. its just like driving the dak. Theextra room is great. You will Love it.
