09 1500 in Limp Mode after replacing Plugs & Fuel Pump
I just picked my 09 Ram 1500 Laramie from the dealership where I had them replace a fuel pump & spark plugs at 195,000 miles. The reason I took it in and did not do it myself is because i have an extended lifetime warranty on everything non-maintenance related, so the $900+ fuel pump job was covered under a $100 deductible. After driving about 5 miles, I parked at for lunch. When I came out, the truck started and ran, but was in limp mode (only 10MPH with check engine lights on), so I drove it back to the dealer. After diagnosing it, they say "the throttle body shorted out, having nothing to do with the tank or fuel pump work, so it'll be a new case (and a new $100 deductible) to repair/replace the throttle body."
My question is, could their repairs to the fuel supply (pump replacement), or anything having to do with the replacement of the 16 spark plugs have anything to do with the truck going into limp mode due to "the throttle body shorting out"?
Thanks fellas.

We have similar trucks. I also have 09 RAM1500 Laramie (is yours white too?).
I replaced the spark plugs myself and while I was at it I cleaned the Throttle Body also. I didn't have such problem at all. There is a possibility, though, the wire shell wore out with time (ram trucks...) and while they changed the spark plugs they leaned against the TB/wires and the truck died on you, unluckily.
