any ideas as to how to repair or find why my headlight will not come on when starting my truck the bulb is good as it will come on if you bump the assembly. I have removed the headlight assembly and the light will be in tight when I start to replace it it stays on. all the wires and connections are tight. I don't want to spend the 30.00 tio replace the light if it's not bad, or is it?
well that adds interest to life...... If you can wiggle the connector, and the bulb comes to life.... that would tend to point to the connector as the issue. If shaking the housing makes the bulb come back on, I would wonder if the filament hasn't broken.....

You could try swapping the bulbs from left to right to see if the issue follows the bulb or stays with the wiring. If it follows the bulb, there's a pretty good chance the bulb is the issue. If the issue goes away, the problem may still be with the bulb, but maybe gravity is working in your favor in the new orientation.
