Frisbee sound 2012 Ram 1500
This is a loud annoying noise that sounds like someone is rubbing sandpaper on metal whenever I drive. I first thought it was the axle, Replaced, no good. Then wheel bearing, replaced, still no good. Even brakes, replaced, still no good. This sound is most noticeable at low speeds and it's loud enough that I have to turn the radio up to not hear it. It is incredibly annoying and the most bothersome thing on my awesome Dodge. Any ideas?

Is it coming from the front? Back? Engine? Interior?

It's hard to tell, I have had it up in the air with it in gear and it seems to be towards the middle of the vehicle.

Something is rubbing...... If its external, there should be obvious signs, rub marks, etc. If its internal to something, gonna be more fun to find. I once had a weird noise on a truck I had worked on, and it turned out to be one of the brake dust shields was rubbing on the rotor.....

Your description sounds pretty consistent with a belt driven pulley with a bad bearing. Such a noise would change frequency with engine speed. The water pump, if you have the 5.7L engine, is a rather common culprit. I just replaced one 3 weeks ago on a 2014 5.7L Durango R/T with only 42k miles on it.

Huh, never would have thought of that. I'll check it out. Thanks!

I just remembered it varies with the speed of the driveline not the motor, so it's probably not a pulley.
