Default aux cable?

Did your trucks come with a cable? I have the standard single disc radio, but did not receive a cable to hook up an MP3 player or iPod. Did you? Do you have to order it separately?

I rigged up a cable to use for now until I can find a neater way to do things. I wish the cable was already hooked up and in the center console or something.

Mine did not come with a cable either.

You can use the aux in on your radio from the aux out on the player.
http://www.provantage.com/belkin-f8v...p~7BELJ069.htm ...just a pic.
Availabale any Radio Shack, Wal Mart, etc.

For other options talk to the parts guy at your dealership or look at what these folks offer.

I know you can hide the cable and use the volume for you player with one of these...not sure what your radio is. go to the dealer or call Lee Parts to confirm. I bought the wrong cable to start with and I am supposed to know this stuff. Lee took it back no problem.
Dealer had the right cable in stock.

I have the GPS REN radio and set mine up so I could control all of its functions on the screen.
iPod sits in the glove compartment. Charges while on...drains it fast while parked.

blue2050,
I have been trying to get this question answered. I have a REN radio also. Which cable did you end up getting that allows you to control all the iPod functions from the screen?

Thanks in advance!

My mistake. I have the RER radio with navigation.

I am not sure what the differnces are. I know the RER is navi with mygig.
I think the REN can be navi with mygig. You say you have a screen so I ssume you have navigation. Do you have mygig....?

If you have a navi touch screen you need cable 82211853 available through Dodge or
http://www.leeparts.com/2009_dodge_r...gps_radio.html.

I went a little futher and installed the lockpick and a reverse camera. Thread on that somehwhere here.
http://www.coastaletech.com/MYGIG.htm

That combo worked out well. Stacked the plugs into the radio. I was told by the parts guy at Dodge that once I installed it I would have to come back and have it programmed in.
With the lockpock the iPOD soft button and VES just came up as well as all the functions for my iPOD. Easier to use than the iPOD.

There is also a radio removal thread here...read that....if you have a center console.
Let me know if I can clear anything up.
Lee Parts can tell you exactly what you need, your parts guy at the dealer might can...call them monday. My parts guy did not have clue. Just happened I knew what I needed. After ordering the wrong cable first go.

Good luck. PM me if you want..or post here. If you have more questions.

If you do not have a mic and my gig I think you can use a differnt cable
