Default Noise in passenger door post

I have a noise in the passenger side front door post that appears to be temperature related. When I hit a bump in the road or even turn the wheel sharply the noise sounds similar to rubbing styrofoam pieces together. If I hang from the handle on the post, it will stop. Once the sun is up and heats the truck up, the noise stops. I hear it when driving to work before the sun is up. I first heard it on a cloudy day.

I have searched the threads and have not found people having this kind of noise. It is NOT the hood which I read on other threads. The dealer tried to fix this and a new sound emerged that was much louder. It is definitely inside the cab in the post area. Could be in the dash as well, but the only way it has stopped is hanging from the handle or when the sun is up.

Has anyone else had this problem and fixed it?

Ditto on noise in the pillars ... i have noise in BOTH my driver and passanger pillars ... only the noise i hear is a soft rattle when hitting bumps ... im going to assume it has something to do with the air bags which are inside the pillars .. i wish i knew for sure tho ... and how to stop it without risking my airbags not going off when intended to..

X3 Here. I found the sound coming from where the headliner hits the center post plastic. I stuffed thick foam above the headliner so the headliner would not got up and down as much... It did not help... I need to look into it more...

Found the source of my noise. There is a black trim piece that runs along front outside edge of the windshield from the top of the cab to the fender. The trim piece has a rubber lip that touches the windshield. If I pressed on the lower end of the trim it would squeak. The sound was on the outside of the truck the whole time and not on the inside as I suspected. I will take it to the dealer Friday and get them to fix it. Glad I found it, it was driving me crazy.

Here is a picture of the trim that was making noise. The arrow points to where the squeaking was. I sprayed Meguiars Natural shine (like armorall) where the sqeak was and after about 15 minutes the sqeak was gone. Has not been back since.
