Default 09 ram 1500 cruise control

feb 09 purchased 09 ram 1500 4x4 w/o cruise, paid delership to have factory OEM cruise installed. took delivery of truck and 10 months later still have no cruise control installed. dealer says dodge doesn't have one in a kit form to order (no part #). I have called cust.care and complained, no help there yet. Question? does anyone know of a dealer installable crusie for this truck and if so, how do I get one installed?

Comparing a Toyota pickup to a Dodge is like Apples and Oranges. Funny I don't see any old Toyota vehicles around here and if I do they are so rusty it's not funny. I think you should sell that Dodge and go get a Toyota. Will cost more and you will get less.

Good luck with your cruise I hope things work out. There used to be 7 or more Chrysler plants in my city alone in Canada. Now there is one, and from the sounds of it if the Italians get rid of the minivan and build some ****ty little cars we are screwed. Like the days of Omni's , and Colts and all those crappy cars. I retired due to disability but I am glad because guys with 30 years seniority are on the line, 45 seconds every vehicle.

Well that was helpful and on topic.

Kind of like this.

Dodge doesn't offer a kit for 2009, possibly due to the whole bankruptcy thing and getting their house back in order. However, Rostra has a kit that looks factory for the 2009-2010 Ram, part number 250-9001. Looks to be about $160 or so. You do have to tap into a few wires but the kit appears to provide everything needed.

That is the correct part number...250-9001 .

I installed this on my 09 Ram 1500 ST RCSB 4 x 4 .

All you really need is the switch for the steering wheel. The truck is prewired. I installed mine in all of 45 minutes and it worked without having the dealer do any programming.

I got my kit here because at the time I didn't know the truck was prewired.

Ask your dealer to provide you with the switch.

Thanks to all who answered the crusise control SOS. The information has proven beneficial and ChryCustCare has really put some pressure on the dealer to solve this problem, read and know their product propoganda to keep it from happening again. It looks like the dealer will order and install the Rostra unit and not have any Dodge warranty problems. Thanks agiain....
