I am just curious..... what is the point of that rule? I will abide by it but why? If someone post something and clearly states I live in X location and will not ship... who are they hurting?

"Not shipping" items usually do not sell, and typically just clog up the sale section. This forum is not a regional one, it is a national one. The "not shipping" parts are better for sites like Craigslist, which has local sections.
