A change for the time. They needed to do something to stay in the game. With what all other makers are doing ford had to try something. For the price though I would stick with something else. Chris
The new one shares the same platform as the Ford GT, just it is front mounted - rear drive... rumor has it will be produced after the Ford GT is discontinued after it's thrre year production run, so you could see the Cobra in 2008/2009!</P>
If (big IF) they actually put a 605hp V10 under the hood it I could overlook the Hot Wheels look of it. The only thing I reall dislike about is the headlights. The car is a pretty good modern interpetation of a classic. I like the spartan interior of it. With a car like that, who needs cupholders?<IMG src=smileys/smiley1.gif border="0"> <edited><editID>thestealth</editID><editDate>38021.8765277778</editDate></edited>
610 horsepower is under the hood of the Concept... if it does make production, the Viper should have a few years of the new HEMI head version of the 8.3L "VIPER" V-10 motor, which cranks out 600+ horsepower!</P>
YUCK!!![:'(]They butchered one of fords only worthwhile cars. I hate to say it, but I think Carroll Shelby has went senile, good God is it ever ugly.[:'(]
