The 200 introduction

I do not care how good the car is, or is not.... But if you are trying to sell a new car to the USA, have a person who does not have a heavy accent introduce it.... It really sounds bad and he does not seem excited about it, just reading a script. He may very well be excited, but that accent is covering it up.

wow I agree. Does not sound excited at all! Reminds me almost of some type of college professor who has everyone falling asleep in class lol.

I thought he did well. Its hard to sell a vehicle to the press if you are overly excited. The reviews always speak for themselves. I am sure the press loved the new designs. I know I did. That 200 looks so much better live and in person, im sure.

I was there for that and I thought that Olivier Francois did a nice job. We got to talk to him a bit and the guy seemed legitimately excited about the new models. Chrysler isnt making any bones about the fact that their involved in a foreign automaker and I find Olivier to be less irritating than "Dr. Z".

I for one was disappointed that all this is is a redone, and rebadged sebring.

highrevr/tflea 12-10-2010 11:53 PM

Im sorry, but it looks great rebadged or not, I would buy one.

SHAPman 12-13-2010 11:42 PM

Its the same car, and its still a turd.

BadStratRT 12-14-2010 08:39 PM

they added a nicer interior, better engines and revised suspension. plus the new front and rear fascias. the only major attributes that it shares with the sebring is the chassis and the greenhouse. i would agree if it was literally just an aesthetic change and nothing else, but thats not the case...

SHAPman 12-17-2010 11:36 PM

Come on, I used to build those things, you can see the sebring lines all over that car. Changing seats, the dash, and changing the shocks and struts do not make it a new car. Only one engine changed, the V6. The majority of the 2.4's will still get the 4 speed auto. Look at the side profile of the car. Its a sebring. Using your guys mentality the minivans should be all new models as well. As they got the same upgrades as the sebring, err I mean 200.

highrevr/tflea 12-18-2010 04:14 PM

yeah it does scream sebring but it is a whole new car...Ford did the same thing w/ the 500 and taurus and got called a "NEW" car.
