Having trouble removing ashtray
 

I just bought my '91 Dakota last month and roommate has filled the ashtray with ashes and cigarette butts. How do I remove it to dump the contents?

On my Ram I just pull down and out and IDK for sure on a Dak. Try here though

There is a metal plate above the cigarettes you push down on it and pull out.
