MDS cylinder deactivation technology is offered in seven Chrysler Group vehicles and 85 percent of HEMI engines. MDS switches between 8 and 4 cylinder modes in 40 milliseconds. well if it's anything like the magnum it sounds the same running in 4 cylinder mode, I have yet to notice any difference in sound on my magnum when it switches between the two.

i dont know how much 20% improved gas milage will matter on a HEMI.... regular driving, my uncle is lucky to get 10mpg on his HEMI ram 2500

If your uncle's HEMI is getting the same MPG as a huge RV with a V-10...... get my point? |
