Yeah, slighty smaller difference in performance if you use the 4.7 HO, but either way it's still less power and worse fuel economy, and I don't think the 5.7 in the Dakota would cause any issues with the Ram's sales, the previous gen Dakota shared the same V8 offerings and the previous gen Ram, the 5.2L and the 5.9L and there were no issues there, even with the same engine the Dakota is still not as capable as a Ram, and the current abysmal Dakota sales definatly show that something needs to be done.

 

I still think the idea i had of a 5.0 v8 might work
