I saw last night on a national TV ad about a FREE upgrade to the 5.7 HEMI engine(from the 4.7) for the Dodge RAM truck, can't find anything at Dodge online about it. Can anyone clarify this for me? I would like to have it in writing so to speak so I can show it to the saleperson. Sure you understand what I mean.

PS I assume this would be in addition to the $5.000 rebate that is currently being offered during "March

Yes, the free hemi is in addition to the rebate. Your dealer should discount the vehicle you choose by the MSRP of the hemi engine as it appears on the window sticker. This is a special offer on in-stock vehicles only and is only available on ram trucks and durangos through the end of the month. Discounts will vary based on the standard engine in the vehicle so pay attention to the cost for the 5.7 as it is listed on the window sticker. if the dealer needs more information have them reference program ID C207 A/ C207 B.

This doesn't surprise me as it has been rumored that the HEMI costs less to build than the 4.7L Powertech.

 

That has nothing to do with it. Next month its dvd players. Its just a marketing ploy.

 

Yes, I'm perfectly aware of that. I'm just saying that this is a logical idea anyways since it costs less to build.
