Default Timing cover gasket?

I am planning on buying a low mileage 2000 Dodge ram 2500 24 valve Cummins it's a nice truck besides the fact that there's a leak in the timing cover. Is it expensive to get repaired at a shop or is it a possible do it yourself job thanks guys

How mechanically inclined are you? Got tools? A place to work on it?

Get yourself a service manual for the truck, one of the best things you can do. Read thru the procedure, and see what you think. I suspect it's likely you could do it yourself.
