Yes, but my Plymouth Voyager said the same thing- replace at 120K; my van had 119K and the tranny died!
Sad day in Chryslerville.
If the ABS system hadn't failed, the electronic switch for the blower fans failed and the tin-foil sliding doors hadn't been worked on twice for the rust, I would have fixed it, but off it went. Too bad, it was the most comfortable ride I ever owned.
The CVT on the Caliber drives me batty trying to get up to speed on the highway ramps- it doesn't really deliver on the gas mileage, so I'm thinking about trading it in for something with a 6-speed automatic instead.

I love our caliber taking my time on long trips I've seen between 32-35mpg with it loaded light. Otherwise I'd be looking at something else...we're looking at another one and already put more ney down on it. The one we have I'm putting a cvt in it next mo. Some time. You can get good deals for used ones will fairly low miles. I've already purchased an auxiliary trans cooler from Advance auto online at a good price. I prefer older cars...BUT I LOVE THIS ONE..Good luck.

If you love your dodge/Chrysler vehicles... LIKE I DO,Go to Amazon and pick a scanner...I got one for about $65 and it not only reads trouble codes but as well as tranny temps which are used to properly ck. Your fluid level. If you think you put too much make sure your car is as level as you can get it...on my 2012 Caliber...their is a hexagon plug on the side just above the pan behind the left side wheel, You can take this plug out and see if the fluid pours or just dribbles out. If you can put your finger in the hole(when the trans is cold...the fluid can get up to about 190° when hot)and feel fluid its at the Right level. Also you can go on line and get a copy of the original service manual of your particular vehicle... Two choices I believe.. 1is online manual which you can get to download to your tablet/w Adobe Acrobat reader(its free). Or go to other sites to get a book or DVD which can cost anywhere from $150-$250, it just depends on your choice... Good luck.if I can help any way I'll try.
