2-1 rough downshift, fault code P1775...

Hi there,

I am trying to figure out what to change next on my 2000 Grand Caravan.

Two days ago, the tranny was "clunking" when coming to a stop... like a rough 2-1 downshift. Additionally, when putting it into drive from reverse, there is a hesitation. Then, on day two, ck engine light on.

Took it in for tranny service- fluid/filter changed, chrysler fluid put in. STILL had the same problems. Went over to Autozone to check engine light fault codes. The first fault code was P1775, Transmission system MIL fault. There were two other codes, related to the first.Deleted codes, and engine light went off, all trouble stopped. Person who worked in store thought maybe after filter change, I needed a reset. All was fine for a few hours, then trouble started again, engine light back on. Original code explained the problem as open/short circuit condition and listed probably causes as 1. poor electrical connection or 2. failed pressure sensor. Person in store also mentioned solenoid or relay as cause for poor connection.

I cleaned the connectors with no luck. What to change next????????

Thanks!

P1775 is a TCC in latch position, Replace the valve body and filter too. There also a P1776 for low reverse stuck in latch position too. Remove the pan ck for metal. no metal replace the valve body. or if you like the diagnostic sheet for your codes , just e-mail me and I'll send it to you.

I am having this exact same problem my codes are P1775 and P0700. Master Tech: would you mind emailing me that diagnositc sheet for these two codes. I would be very grateful. I will send you an email now!

Also, I can't seem to find the valve body to buy anyways where would I get one? Is driving with the codes ruining the tranny? Should I replace any/all of the solenoids?

Thanks!

Hello! I have the same problem with my van, the codes are p1775, p1784 and 00700! And replacement sensors input and speed, tcm, oil, and nothing stays the same, now buy the solenoid, what should I change? Or would I have to change the valve body? I saw that another user tells you that there is another way to invest stuck in the position of closing, I hope your help, I have already spent a lot of money and not jan able to find the exact fault, thanks.
