Default 1997 Caravan starting issue

I have a 1997 caravan and have an issue that I can't figure out. Occasionally the van will not start. I have found that when I turn the blower fan switch to off, it starts right up. It seems like this only happens when I don't use the van for a few days.

I would be greatful if anyone can share any ideas.

What are the symptoms? Does it click but not crank, or does it crank and not start--or does it do nothing?

It's your battery. You have a no-good battery. That's why it won't come on with your blower fan on, that's why it happens when its been sitting for a few days (bad batteries drain themselves). Once you're running, your alternator is doing a fine job charging the battery, but because the battery is no good, it won't HOLD the charge.

Get a new battery, should fix your problem.

Cheers,
