I have a '93 Caravan SE that the speedometer finally quit working at 236,000K. It acts like it has the old nylon gear at the end of the speedo cable, because it was trying to work intermittently at the end. I am going to dig into it on Saturday, but was wondering if anybody knew off of the top of their head what this setup is?

1993 was the 1st year the 41TE trans started using the output turbine speed sensor, 1992 was the last year that used the speedo gear. Unless you have a 31TH or 3speed trans,then you would still have the speedo gear.

 

I have the 3-speed, so I will be looking for the speed sensor.
