twice this week my 94 caravan 4spd would not shift out of 2nd gear. pull over, shut it off, restart it and its fine. only stored engine lightcodes i found where 12 & 32. i do i check the TCM codes. could it be the shift silenoid ?, or trans computer , output sensor. ? where do i begin. i do all my vehical repairs and have never taken anything into the shop but for a alignment. just cant figure this one out. . i have a complete running drivable 94 parts van to rob parts from.

 

The transmission has its own controller. Its on the bulkhead/firewall on the passenger side, under the hood. Use the blue connector under the dash to ck for codes in the TCM. Once you have pulled the codes, post them.

 

changed the input sensor on the trans and its been working good for 2 wks .
