Question 2000 Caravan Electrical Issue

Hi I have a 2000 Dodge Caravan

Recently:
Within the past couple months when you open the door, the inside lights take a second before it "realizes" that the door has been opened and that the keys are inside before it dings. ALSO, a more important issue, sometimes the blinkers will not work. Normally, I can just turn the key off and crank it back up and they're working again. But today, I couldn't get them to return.

Any ideas what could be causing this? Fuse??

a fuse either allows electricity through or blows and stops electricial flow... so I really doubt a fuse to be the issue.

sounds like a body control module related area.

The turn signal problem is probably the combo flasher. It is the taller relay above the row of fuses down by the drivers feet area. If the turn signals don't work, try tapping on the relay and see if they start working.

The interior lamps could be the switch in the latch sticking, do the lamps come on slow with every door?
