2007 Caravan: Where is the Crankcase breather element
Anyone know where the crankcase breather element is on the 2007 caravan - 3.3 liter? Thanks!

that was eliminated years ago.

Crankcase Breather Element: 2007 Dodge Caravan
Went to the dealer and was told that air induction system needed to be cleaned ($116 price tag for that job). What does that mean? I thought it was related to the breather element. The 2007 doesn't have such an animal?
I changed the air filter... what else is there? Thanks |
I guess I've never heard of an air induction system cleaning. Unless they are cleaning the throttle body.

Well if the dealer says you need the cleaning... then by all means get it done. after all we all know that the dealer is the only place that can fix stuff . I've never cleaned an intake in 30 years of wrenching and 1000's of cars though my shop.
07's don't have crankcase breather filters, look at the hose from the air cleaner to the valve cover. the hose is on the clean side of the filter (intake side). the old vehicles (like Tizzy stated) had a separate filter on the dirty side of the air cleaner. |
Again we are throwing parts. Don't waste you money on a moc flush. They are blowing smoke up your @**.

Throwing parts!! That's how I roll!

Thanks for the advice! Glad to keep $120 in my pocket.

Hey man, we may have a spot opening in July. Come on down...lol. :icon_clapclap: |
I wanna go to the North Carolina area, the wife's getting tired of the snow and cold. Not that it's warm there this week but it probably won't last 3 months. :)
