Default Whats this and is it importain (Rear Brake part)

I was doing my rear brake drum today and the drive side one seemed to be in very bad shape, no problem I knew it was and had plans to replace every part wheel cylinder, springs, shoes, adjuster, Ebreak strut. I noticed this peice looks broken on the break cylinder body and had a few questions. Two photos if it below. If I am at the wrong forums for automotive advise let me know a good one that can help. THANKS! What is it? Can it be fixed? Does it need to be fixed? It is a 1994 Plymouth Voyager 6 cyl, 3.3L Name: CIMG0007.jpg

lol thats one of the cleanest wheel cylinders ive ever seen(doesnt look like it was leaking why replace?)

that part IS the wheel speed sensor
its important if you want your ABS to work and you dont wanna continually look at that yellow ABS light on your dash

Can you trace the rest of it from the rear of the backing plate? Here is a pic of a rear wheel speed sensor...they are ungodly expensive to replace from the looks of it...
