Default can I use transmission pan sealant for oil pan

I am changing oil pan gasket on coming weekend. I have after market gasket and I want to make sure that seal is tight and sung..
I have a leftover tube of tranmission pan sealant, Can I use that on top of oil pan gasket to have good seal or is it bad idea?

You can use the gasket with the sealant if you wish. I just makes clean up harder if you have to pull it again. If the pan and the trans surfaces are cleaned good with brake parts cleaner, you can use the sealant only with no gasket and it works good. You can actually use any combination and it will be ok. The factory used sealant only.
