2007 Dodge Caravan sliding door won't unlock
 

Hi there.

I have a 2007 Dodge Caravan.
Recently, the locking mechanism on the passenger side sliding door started acting up. It locks fine using the power locks but does not unlock. It can be unlocked manually. This is something that has gotten progressively worse over the last few months. Any suggestions as to what is wrong would be appreciated.

Most likely it's the lock actuator, they get weak and finally crap the bed. It's attached to the sliding door latch assembly with one 15 torx screw.

The lock actuator goes bad on the sliding doors. You would need to remove the door panel and check the power and ground at the actuator or just replace it.
