Default '98 Dodge Caravan Sport Codes

Hey guys!
I am posting this for a friend who needs help immediately. His van is not shifting well and is getting to the point where he is scared to drive it.
The codes it is spitting out are:
P0420 - Catalyst System Low Efficiency
P1776 - Solenoid Switch Valve Latched in LR Position
P0740 - TCC Enable Solenoid Circuit Electrical
P0720 - Output Speed Sensor Circuit Malfunction
P0733 - Incorrect 3rd Gear Ratio
P0351 - Coil is NOT Reaching Peak Current at the Right Time
P0300 - Engine Misfire Detected
P1698 - No CCD Messages Received from PCM
P0700 - Transmission Control System Malfunction

Well, y'all's guess is as good as mine as to what this is. We just replaced the ignition coil. The van has 270,100 miles on it. Is this worth fixing or should he drop the van like a disease? Thanks!

Welcome to DF
The P0420 cat efficiency code could be a o2 sensor or exhaust leak. The P1776,and P0740 could be a solenoid pack or valve body. P0720 is either a bad sensor or an open wire to the sensor. Once P0720 is fix, that should take care of code P0733. The code P0351 could be wiring problem or a PCM. What your friend wants to do with the van is their choice, not the forum. We are here to share information, such as what do some of these codes mean.
