Question 03 engine cooling fan

I have a 03 caravan 3.3L, the engine cooling fan(drivers side) does not appear to work. I had just replaced it due to a broken bracket on the old one. When I tested it, the condenser cooling fan ran when the engine got up to temperature and also when I turned on the AC. I checked the fan on the bench and it works. Looking at other posts it seems like the motor cooling fan relay may be suspect. The question that I have is: are the fans controlled separately or do they always run at the same time? If they are controlled independently are the relays similar (location?) Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Default

Both fans run off a single relay and a single output from the relay so if one spins they should both be spinning. Either the fan has seized or it's not getting power. Both use the same ground. Does if spin freely by hand?

Post 03 fan

After it didn't run I checked the old fan and the new fan on the bench, they both spun freely and ran off a 12vdc battery charger, resistance readings similar as well. I will look at the 2 wires and see that one of them is grounded. Thanks for your advice!

Default Success

Checking the wires revealed that there was a good ground and 12vdc, found that on wire (connector) had been pulled slightly and was no longer making contact. Reinserted and all works fine now. May need to replace connector if problem reoccurs.
