Can't Turn Ignition Off
 

I recently had a transmission replaced in a 2000 Caravan. Now I am having trouble getting the key in the "off" position and removing it when the vehicle is in park. Is there a problem with the ignition switch not knowing when the gear selector is in park, therefore not allowing the switch to be fully put in the off position? What is the fix?

I would recheck the adjustment on the shifter cable, at the transmission.
