2001 Caravan TCM From Junkyard or rebuilt?
I need to replace the transmission control module for a 2001 dodge grand caravan. The local junkyard has a 2002 model and I can get one for about $50 versus $150 for a rebuilt one.
Can I use the transmission control module for the 2002 in a 2001 model? Also, I have seen that for the re-manufactured TCMs the sellers want a vin number and mileage. Does it need to be programmed to my van in order to work properly? Not sure if buying a junkyard TCM will work or if I should get a rebuilt one.
Any advice on this would be a great help. Thanks.
