Hi, I have a plain, no-frills 2004 Dodge Caravan with the four-cylinder engine. It has 105K miles on it. I noticed a few months ago, it would make a sporadic tapping or ticking noise while idling. Don't think it's the lifters because the pattern is sporadic, or, in other words, there isn't really a pattern to the noise. Also, it comes and goes. I actually haven't heard it for a few weeks now. My guess is it's electrical (maybe ignition). Anyone know what it might be? Thanks.
