PCM Updates to address incorrect shift points?

2012 Grand Caravan, 105k miles.

I'll start by saying that my transmission is good. It does not feel at all like the trans is slipping, fluid level is good, so on and so forth.

What I am experiencing is, when I'm gently accelerating, the transmission with shift into 3rd and then IMMEDIATELY into 4th. When I say immediately, I mean it basically only shifts into 3rd to get to 4th - it's in 3rd for a second, at most.

The problem with this is that it ends up in 4th at a low speed, and therefore drops the engine RPM down before the power threshold, and it bogs down. I have to press harder on the gas which causes it to downshift into second.

If I accelerate moderately hard, I don't mean gunning it but if I bring the revs up to around 2.8k or 3k RPM, it shifts through all the gears like butter. No problems at all. Stays in 3rd as long as it needs to. But if I'm trying to drive conservatively, it tries to skip 3rd gear and doesn't have enough power to accelerate well in 4th from that speed.

No, I'm not using ECON mode.

I know there was a recall for a PCM update to address transmission performance, and as far as I can tell, that recall was performed on my van.

So my question is, have there been any PCM updates released since to address issues like mine? Has anyone else experienced this issue?
