Can someone give me a straight answer on this?

Issue: 5.7 Hemi's dropping valve seats.

Did Mopar ever fix this issue in the newer Hemi's? If so, when and how?

Mopar won't comment because they claim it's not an issue.

tsb K23937596 for the 2006 says to check for pitting on the valve seats if you have a misfire. That's the only thing I could find. I've haven't seen any in my 4 years with fca. If its happening when it off warranty....dealer techs may not see it.

what are you seeing? the valve seats dropping obviously...more details.

looks like jasper has it figured out. good info! I wonder if its specific to model years or an assembly plant? mds or non mds systems

if I had catastrophic engine failure...the intake would be junked...I would not wash it and reuse it.

my 2 hemis were/are holding strong 230 000 when I sold the 2005, 266 000 on the 2007

Yes, I agree. I would definitely not re-use the intake. I just wonder if at some point Mopar addressed this issue without really telling anyone.
