Taped Off Drain Holes in Trunk lid?

The only point of contention is "Why were the holes taped"? Nothing can get in the holes and as stated earlier, 'The outer skin of the trunk lid cannot magically seep water into the underside skin of the trunk lid. The metal is solid (outer skin) and there is no possibility that condensation or water off the back window can be moved downward, then magically shoot up into the holes. Personally, I'm really irate with all the lies F.C.A. continues to spread. They have the men hiding while they place the women up front as the gatekeepers.
