The addition of a CAI to any vehicle has many having a difference of opinion on it's value or performance upgrade to the vehicle.
There is a noticeable difference in sound coming from your engine from a CAI install and performance maybe minable. A slightly better throttle response.
And there is a cost savings due to not having to replace your AF as often. I have a K&N installed on my 2010 R/T 5.7L, the cost for me was better and the
reviews on it were good too. And the sound coming from the engine was more of what I wanted to hear. There are several other brands to choose from and
most cost more than the K&N brand. Check the reviews on them before going all in on one.

2012 Challenger R/T Classic 5.7 Hemi. Comp 270 cam, milled heads, reseat valves w/Hellcat rocker arms, Kook long tubes, Borla ATAK exhaust. Airaid CAI made the difference. The engine breaths like a hurricane.

I would have to see dyno tests to believe that.

I have a K / N filter.Simple clamping design for installation directly into the factory filter housing or directly onto the engine.By the way, a friend of mine uses a Mopar, and he is very happy with how it saves fuel.
I can advise you to look at this website, it should help with the choice, good luck!

K&N air filters breath better than stock ones, So the engine will perform better compared to stock. Performance from the piping to it is manageable at best.
