Ordered the CAI+Diablo Package Today

I took the plunge and ordered the package from this link:

www.thehemisource.com

Just what I had been looking for. Can't afford it but couldn't resist. It should take about 7 days to arrive. It'll be my first CAI installation.

I know I'll have questions. I hope to get some help here.

Thanks.

you will NOT be dissapointed - great combo

I agree it's a great combo... Top notch tuner and CAI.

Don't sweat the CAI install, it isn't that hard.

Thanks for the thumbs up.

I just checked my email and the combo is in transit. Can't wait... I'll post again when I receive the package. I'd appreciate any tips on the AFE CAI installation/diablo tuning.

Thanks.

Start with the CAI, just follow their instructions and be careful with the air sensor.

It's been so long since I've looked at the caned Predator tunes but I believe there's a 93 octane with CAI that you can select as the base and run from there.

Just received the Diablo tuner. It's huge! It looked smaller in the pictures...Anyway had a quick look through the instructions, and it doesn't look very difficult to operate. Still waiting for the intake. I guess the right thing to do is to install the CAI before tuning? Alex, from the store told me that the Diablo comes with the latest tune updates. So hopefully it won't have bugs.

Thanks

Got my AFE air intake today. Nicely packaged. Just got to figure out how to install using the instructions. I'm going to try to install today. Any other tips except the sensor. I read some people disconnecting the battery? Some others didn't? I'll be checking back here during my installation.

Thanks

I didn't disconnect the battery when I installed mine, there's no realy reason to do that. On the flip side it doesn't hurt and itwould reset the PCM and HAL which is a good thing to do after the CAI mod. I pulled fuse 11 after installing mine which produces the same effect as disconnecting the battery => resetting the PCM and HAL.

When you install the tune it will prompt you to reset adaptives - DO THAT

Thanks for the advise.

I didn't have time to install the CAI yesterday. Going to install it now. I'll try to post some pics if I succeed.
