5.7 Hemi spark plug change
Have a 2006 dodge charger daytona with 30000miles.
Manual says change plugs at 30000 Just wondered how much trouble to change as the dealer wants a bunch and I have worked on older cars all my life. |
It take a little while but their not bad to get at, I do mine in about an hour taking my time.
Stock plugs are Champion RE14MCC4 Copper Plus Plugs. Rockauto has the best price that I found. Take the wires off the coil packs via quick disconnects. You'll need a 10mm socket/wrench to take off the coil packs (two per pack). Once loose just pull up on the coil packs to remove them. This gives you access to the plugs, 2 per cylinder (16 total). gap .045 torque 13 ft lb (use antiseize on the new plug threads) |
I forgot to welcome to the forum classicmoparnut... Welcome! GoManGo rocks!
