Default HELP Car no longer recognizes Drivers door being open

2009 Charger

When entering the car the dome light doesn't come on, or when i park the car and open the door i get no light and the radio doesn't power down, i have to open the passenger side door for this to happen

I'm assuming its in a switch somewhere, but i don't see any, at first i thought i would find a plunger style switch from days past,

any ideas

Thanks

Taurus,

Were you able to narrow down where the problem is coming from? If you need additional assistance feel free to PM me your VIN# for further review.

I agree with Steak, the door latch controls these functions. There is a plug on the back of the latch that may have come loose or failed that could be the cause of the issue.

well, check the wires in the door jabs first, Sometimes the wires breaks off after it flex so many times from opening/closing the door. The wire looms are wrap up by the rubber hose, just slide it off, and pull on each wire individually.
