Getting an R/T Charger is the only cure.

Don't push a 2.7 Charger or 300. It's the economy version meant for grandma to go to church and the grocery store.

2.7l's can be very quick, if done right.
People have also had success turbocharging the 2.7l. One made 197hp/230ft-lbs WHP, on 3.5psi of boost IIRC. The Charger loses a ton of power through the driveline. Base 2.7l only makes around 130WHP, which is pitiful on a motor that made 200hp @ the flywheel.

Intake headers and exhaust do a lot to open up the 2.7l. Headers have to be custom made, but any reputable exhaust shop can do it.

Biggest issue the 2.7 has is lack of care. My 2.7l had 120k of pure pounding, it still ran like brand new, but I maintained the $hit out of it. My friends is at 189k on a stick RT stratus sedan, that car rarely sees under 4k, he's never had an issue.
