Engine light doesn't turn off even after fix

Hello everyone

I'm new in the forum. I am concern about a check engine light that keeps giving me an error P0463.

I have a Dodge Charger 2006 SXT 3.5 6V. The problem is the gas marker start moving crazy; it marks the right amount and all the sudden it goes to empty and then to full. Sometimes it doesn't even mark anything only empty. I have searched on many websites about the error, and most of them say that the problem can be potentially the Fuel Pump or the cluster. However, I have already changed both, and the problem persists.

I bought this Fuel Pump in Amazon:

On April 30

After the installation, the check engine still on even after driving more than 100 miles to make sure the computer reset. I removed them again and reinstalled but still the same problem with the code. I also bought 2 clusters, and I ran a little with each one and yet, the codes still persist (P0463).

I bought a subscription on ChiltonDIY and followed the ground(cables) just to check if they were good and the cables are fine. I filled the gas to full and also I used the car in half thank and none of my tests have made the code to be fixed. I went to a mechanic and he told me every step I already did and he has no idea what it could be.

Any help with this problem?

You have a wiring problem, if three different pump modules give the same error. (two you bought, plus the original.) trace the wires. See what you find.

Hey thanks for the reply.

I found the problem and it was the PCM.

I worked so much on the car and yet in the end I'm using the same original pieces I replaced. This is the steps I did for anyone with the same problem.

First I followed the instructions many websites gives such has:
- Change the fuel pump(module) and I changed the 2 of them 2 times (currently I have 2 extra fuel pumps left and right)
- Changed the Cluster 2 times (Currently I have 2 extra Clusters)
- Changed the alternator. Some websites and mechanics told me the alternator may be damage because It was sending almost 14 to 15 volts.
- Changed some grounds even do they were all good.
- Changed the battery even do the one I had was good too
NOTE: all this was instructions given by mechanics and some websites.

In the end the real problem was the PCM with a rare problem.

Now I am using the original Cluster and the original Fuel Pump.

Hope this help someone in the future.
