Losing Oil; Normal At 190k?

My 2006 Charger is running through roughly a quart every 1,000 miles. I'm currently sitting at 190,322 miles and just changed the oil. In the 5qt jug I used to hold the old oil, it only showed 3.5qt.
No real signs of damage but I'd like to gauge how often to add oil. There's no leaks, no fumes, or exhaust issues.

Probably rings and/or valve seals. Do you get a puff of smoke at cold startup?

Think I would be checking the oil every time I filled the tank. Just to be sure. :)

No puff of smoke at all to mention. I'm astonished at the rate it's burning but nothing visible or odor noticeable.

My 96 truck was like that. Had a HUGE appetite for oil, but, no evidence of leaks, and only a little puff of blue at startup. But, I would burn thru a quart about every 150 miles or so..... I had though that with that kind of consumption, it would look more like a mosquito fogger than a truck.....

Doing a dry, then wet compression test will likely tell the tale.
